The City of Tulum is located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Quintana Roo state, southeast Mexico, on the northern border of the Biosphere Reserve of Sian Ka'an. Located 145 km south of Cancun.
Tulum is divided into three different areas, the archaeological area, the people and the hotel zone. The latter include some of the most spectacular beaches on the Caribbean coast, many are still considered virgins. Is distinguished by its simple architecture that demonstrates a profound respect for the environment. Its rustic cabins and small hotels were built in total harmony with the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Nestled between the white sand that draws the pristine beaches of the Caribbean Sea and the lush rainforest lies the enigmatic Mayan city of Tulum, the only built by the sea.
